You can give 30 rupees to a motorized rickshaw but only 20 for a human-driven one. Well, that is unstated advice of some Delhi citizens and some do say " Don't give him more than 20". I felt the inhumanity of it all here as a non-Delhite and am not a 'Madhrasi' but I am from Tamil Nadu .
Therefore the weaker beings are a mere NUMBER proves to be the fact. They come from Bihar, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Bengal, Odisha. They aren't as valuable as the Machines. The existence of such human-driven rickshaws is a testimony to their aspirations for a better livelihood and not to forget that they ought to save some money back home. Asian Games, Taj Mahal, Metro trains. All this does not seem to add to a grand civilization when they do not have space for the common man’s sweat. Any public transport system is supposed to accommodate the views of the least than exclude arbitrarily. But the opposite is true, on a busy Thursday morning travel, I heard the announcement that people are asked not to sit on the floor of the train .More than safety, it is about Manners! We all know that many people love to sit on the floor and often there is no space available to sit on the trains. New Delhi has gone a long way. These “small people” are merely absent from the city’s landscape though they are in the city physically. KFCs and SUB WAY outlets all over but is there a place for these not-so-powerful people? Just asking and someone listening? If you are in Delhi, think of paying the machine and the human being the same, if not more.
